Snow plow crews are expected to be very busy with the winter storm expected overnight Thursday and the Janesville Police Department is asking motorists to help. Sergeant Aaron Ellis also advises motorists use headlights, allow extra time, drive with extra space between vehicles, and gas up before the storm, if travel is necessary. Ellis adds officers would rather not spend all their time writing tickets and urges motorists to use off-street parking or designated city lots. During the last snow emergency he says officers issued 79, $50 citations.
