Some relief in Janesville where police say waters have receded on most city streets. The worst area is likely Palmer Drive by the golf course between Racine Street and Beloit Avenue. Police report several streets in Beloit, including Second, Third, and Fourth are still under water, along with Merrill Avenue and Colley Road by the old Gun Club. in Milton, firefighters responded to Milton Propane to help secure floating propane tanks. A boat was used to help secure dozens of tanks floating away in the deluge and run-off of the last few days. Parts of Green County may be the hardest hit. The Little Sugar River spilled over its banks and flooded the Village of Monticello. Some residents needed to evacuate. The police chief says it’s the worst he’s seen.
