This year’s Pounds of Love pet food drive appears to be reaching new heights. Janesville Veterinary Clinic Assistant Becky Nelson says when the food drive, to help needy pet owners began four years ago, organizers were hoping to collect one-thousand pounds of food. Nelson says this year the total will be more than ten-times that. Nelson says, a business challenge added this year really helped. The food is distributed to food pantries through the Friends of Noah C.A.F.E. program. This is the last week for the three month food drive, with the final chance to donate this Saturday during Aftic Art being held at the Pontiac Convention Center.
