The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bad crash on County Highway G between Janesville and Beloit. Deputies say a little before 5:00 p.m. Thursday, a car driven by a 57-year-old man from South Beloit was stopped on South County G at the light with West Beloit-Rock Townline Road. Investigators say a pick-up driven by an 81-year-old man from Janesville failed to stop and crashed into the rear of the car. Officials say both drivers were critically injured and transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center. The southbound lanes of South County Highway G were closed for about four-hours while the Rock County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team did their work.
