Rock County Sheriff’s Officials are calling the results of a recent book drive, to benefit inmates, “amazing”. Commander Troy Knudson says more than 17-hundred books were collected. Knudson says in addition to helping manage the jail environment, many of the books will potentially support the correctional goal of rehabilitation. He says topics include parenting, self-help, anger management and spiritual guidance. Book carts in inmate housing areas have already been updated to make them available.
