A 52-year-old Rockford woman is under arrest after Beloit Police say she crashed into a squad car and drove off.
Beloit Police say an officer was headed westbound on Grand Avenue near Short Street around 6:00 Saturday evening in her squad car when she was struck by another vehicle that failed to yield to a traffic light.
The officer received non-life threatening injuries.
The driver, 52-year-old Theresa R. Stephens took off and officers located her a short time later at an establishment on the 600 block of Broad Street.
Stephens was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated causing injury and hit and run causing injury.
