Rock County Health Officer Marie-Noel Sandoval is scrutinizing the latest statewide county health rankings. Rock County improved to 58th for Health Outcomes, but dropped to 65th for Health Factors. Sandoval says this type of data can help make a difference in creating effective initiatives. When it comes to the county ranking’s data, Sandoval notes trends in Rock County indicate a decrease in the obesity, teen pregnancy, and uninsured population rates. She does however warn the rates for sexually transmitted infections, alcohol involved motor vehicle deaths, and fatal falls among the elderly are up.
