Beloit city leaders appear to be looking forward to a prosperous year. In offering his State of the City address Monday night, City Council President Kevin Leavy offered up a list of anticipated economic developments. Leavy also highlighted increasing home values on the west side, a reduction in violent crime, and additional diversity in the government workforce. All in all, he said the city was doing well in making the community a place anyone would be proud to call home for a lifetime.
