Record low state unemployment rates are allowing some Rock County workers to improve their position. Forward Janesville President John Beckord says some businesses are finding it difficult to maintain full staffs. As a result, some companies aren’t able to provide prompt services. Beckord also says the need to attract and retain appropriately skilled workers is prompting some companies to be innovative in their hiring and training practices. The state unemployment rate is currently just under three-percent.
