Beloit Public Library Officials are assessing the damage from a water leak. Parts of the building flooded Monday and crews have been working to clean up the mess ever since. The damage is contained mostly to the rear of the building, including the Riverside Room, as well as a portion of the fiction section. Some circulation materials, flooring, furniture, walls, insulation, and ceiling tiles were affected. The leak was traced to a second floor HVAC unit. The library is still open for voting however.
