A 73-year-old Beloit man is dead after a single vehicle roll-over traffic crash on highway 81 west of the city. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says the victim was alone in his pick-up about 7:00 p.m. Sunday, driving east when the vehicle crossed the center line and entered the opposite side ditch just east of South Smythe School road. Investigators say the pick-up hit a driveway culvert and flipped end to end one time. The driver was trapped and died as a result of the injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt. The crash is under investigation.
