Two Beloit residents arrested following report of shots fired

Two Beloit residents are under arrest after being accused of firing a gun into the air and toward an empty field.
Town of Beloit Police say officers were dispatched just after 10:30 Tuesday morning to a report of shots being fired from a vehicle in the area of Cleophas and Paddock Roads.
Officers performed a high-risk traffic stop with the help of a DNR warden.
25-year-old Brandi H. Vangemert was arrested on suspicion of first offense operating while intoxicated and possession of THC.
23-year-old John R. Stout was taken into custody on a number of charges including second degree recklessly endangering safety, felony possession of THC and several counts of bail jumping.
Stout also faces a number of other drug charges in connection to an unrelated incident.
