Krueger-Haskell Golf Course welcomes new food and beverage vendor

The City of Beloit is welcoming a new food and beverage vendor to the Krueger-Haskell Golf Course this summer and is introducing several new specials and reduced rates.
Jim Agate and Bill Lock, owners of The Rock Bar & Grill and Culver’s of Beloit, will operate Putterz Pub inside the golf course’s clubhouse at 1611 Hackett St. in Beloit. Putterz Pub officially opened for the season on Monday, April 2. Krueger-Haskell re-opened at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 10.
“The Agates and Bill Lock are proven foodservice industry leaders,” said Mark Young, manager of golf operations at Krueger-Haskell. “We are looking forward to taking our food and beverage operations to the next level with their leadership and oversight. Our golfers will love this addition to our beautiful course.”
The contract for the golf course’s food and beverages operations was approved unanimously by the Beloit City Council.
Putterz Pub menu includes appetizers, breakfast foods, wraps, and hot sandwiches, such as burgers, brats, hot dogs, tuna melts and grilled cheese sandwiches.
“All of our restaurants have been successful based on providing excellent service, serving a quality product with the best ingredients and embracing the community,” said Terri Agate, operations manager for Putterz Pub, The Rock Bar & Grill, and Culver’s of Beloit. “We are really excited to be joining forces with the City of Beloit and look to make this year at the golf course one of the best!”
The food and beverage operations aren’t the only new changes to the golf course this year. Improvements were made to the course during the off season, as well as additional signage designed to increase the speed of play.
