Outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan of Janesville isn’t tipping his hand about the GOP’s plans for a replacement candidate in the First Congressional District, but does tell Your Talk Show on WCLO he feels pretty good about the position of the party. The Republican says he wants to give people time to file their nomination papers before considering an endorsement. Ryan says discussions are underway with several people, and he feels good about where it’s going. The ten-term veteran announced last week he did not plan to run for re-election.
