The Department of Transportation is planning some road closures in Janesville for bridge removal or girder replacement as part of the I39/90 expansion project. East Milwaukee Street under the Interstate will be closed Thursday and Friday. It should open late Friday. The access road to Marshall Middle School will remain open. Ruger Avenue under the Interstate will be closed next Monday. Palmer Drive under the Interstate will be closed Tuesday through Thursday. Drivers are also urged to be alert for crews and equipment in the area, and allow extra time to safely reach their destination. The work operations and road closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
