The City of Beloit will celebrate Arbor Day at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at the Beloit Rotary River Center, 1160 Riverside Drive.
The City of Beloit has a proud history of committing itself to the planting and growth of trees in the community. It was recently recognized for the 30th year with a Tree City USA distinction for its commitment to sound urban forestry management. The award will be given to the city during the Arbor Day celebration. The city will also plant a tree during the ceremony.
Local officials, including Rep. Amy Loudenbeck, Rep. Mark Spreitzer, Sen. Janis Ringhand, City Council Vice President Regina Dunkin, City Manager Lori Curtis Luther, and Pastor Joel Otto, will present during the Arbor Day celebration.
