Two Janesville residents learn an important lesson about guns

Janesville police are urging motorists to lock their parked vehicles and remove valuables like guns.  Police say in the past week, two residents have had guns stolen from their unlocked vehicles.  A 9mm handgun was stolen Saturday in the 1900 block of Linden Avenue, and a day later a loaded 45-caliber handgun was stolen in the 1200 block of Church Street. Police say owning a firearm is a serious responsibility and leaving loaded guns in unlocked vehicles endangers everyone.
