Demolition of the old Rock Haven Nursing Home is being planned, after the Rock County Board Thursday night finalized a $350 thousand contract with a Beloit contractor. Rock County Facilities Management Director Brent Sutherland says demolition of the building on North County F is likely to begin this summer. The building was abandoned when the new 77,000-square-foot Rock Haven Nursing Home was completed nearby in 2013. A cost analysis study conducted by the county determined demolishing the old building would be more cost efficient than refurbishing it.
