Some visitors to downtown Janesville may be worried about the availability of parking, with the closure of the West Milwaukee Street lot next week Thursday. City Economic Development Coordinator Dayna Sarver says more parking will be made available as streets in the area are resurfaced and structured. The changes are all part of a plan to redevelop the downtown, and allow a hotel to be built on the site of the old public parking lot. Sarver says the hotel fits well into the downtown ARISE plan. A groundbreaking for the future Cobblestone Hotel is planned for June 4th.
