(Gazette photo ) Authorities deal with a sticky situation after a semitrailer truck hauling corn syrup overturned on Janesville’s east side Wednesday morning.
The truck was hauling a tank full of food-grade corn syrup, which spilled on the road. The spill was not a hazard but cleanup took about two hours.
The truck had overturned on the west roundabout at the East Racine Street-Interstate 90/39 interchange.
Police closed Racine Street for a time as crews worked to remove the truck.
