Water levels on the Rock River are rising. The Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service forecasts the river at Afton will rise by more than a foot over the next four days. The National Weather Service has added the Rock River at Lake Koshkonong to the list of Flood Warnings. The Rock River at Afton is already at the minor flooding stage, and the Rock River at Newville is considered to be at the pre-flooding stage. Rock County Emergency Management says residents of Fulton and Milton Townships looking for sandbags should contact their respective Town Halls. The Sheriff’s Office is asking motorists to avoid traveling across high waters on roadways and repot any immediate hazardous conditions.
