City of Beloit holds dedication ceremony for playground equipment at Hope Park

The City of Beloit is holding a public dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the installation of a new playground and swings at Hope Park, 826 Bellevue Place, at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31.
The playground is located at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Bellevue Place. The playground was installed in early May. Children who attend the event will have the opportunity to actively participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
“This new playground will be enjoyed by the families and children in the surrounding neighborhoods for years to come,” said Mark Edwards, Interim Director of Parks & Recreation. “We look forward to celebrating this great new addition to the city – a beautiful space for kids to stay active and play outside in the fresh air.”
The public dedication will be attended by local dignitaries, including Public Works Director Laura Pigatti Williamson and City Manager Lori Curtis Luther.
“We encourage the area neighbors and the greater Beloit community to join us at this celebration – and to spend time playing on the new playground,” said Pigatti Williamson.
