A group of several dozen business and civic leaders listen to the prospective owners of the Janesville Mall talk about their vision for the future. RockStep Capital President Andy Weiner told the gathering inside an empty storefront Wednesday morning how retail is being impacted by on-line companies like Amazon. Weiner predicts in the next decade or so, retail will only make up 60% or 70% of the mall. He predicts other entities including office space, educational classrooms, or even entertainment venues would likely be renting space.
