All of the action in Janesville’s downtown related to the Rock Renaissance Redevelopment and Implementation Strategy prompts City officials to look into creating a noise ordinance specific to the neighborhood.
Assistant to the City Manager Maggie Darr says after researching a possible ordinance for noise downtown she learned that there wasn’t actually a problem with noise complaints and most stakeholders don’t support creating a new ordinance.
Darr presented her findings to the City Council this week where she was directed not to pursue the ordinance any further.
