Beloit police are investigating an early morning robbery at a hotel on the west side. Officers say a man walked past the front desk at the Fairfield Inn on Milwaukee Road around 4:30 Thursday morning and returned two minutes later with a sharp object in his hand. He demanded money from the front desk worker and fled with some cash. No one was reported injured. The suspect is described as a black male, about six-foot-two-inches tall, 200 pounds, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and black and white tennis shoes.
