Huber prison arrested in hit and run case

A 24-year-old Beloit man may be losing his Huber privileges at the Rock County Jail.  Janesville police say Conner Poff was arrested on his way back to jail a little before 3:00 a.m. Wednesday on a number of charges including Operating While intoxicated Causing Injury after a hit-and-run incident on Highway 14 and Kennedy Road.  A woman, also a Huber prisoner walking back to the jail, reported being hit by a car driving west in the east bound lane.  Police say a witness also saw the suspect vehicle hit several road signs.  A sheriff’s deputy says a can of industrial strength Ultra Duster was found under the seat and police say they believe Poff was huffing.
