The Rock County Sheriff’s office is warning residents about a new twist on an old scam. Sergeant Kim Litsheim says the scammers are using an active duty deputy’s real name. Litsheim says the scammers claim to be Sergeant Egger with a warrant for their arrest. Litsheim says the most obvious red-flag of a scam is the request to make payment over the phone using a prepaid money card.
