The Beloit Board of Education continues moving forward despite difficulties forming a quorum following the resignation of three members.

During a special meeting on Friday the board elected new officers including Pam Charles as President, David Wilson as Vice President, and Kyle Larson as Treasurer. Wendy Sanchez will continue in her roll as board Clerk.

Charles says the board plans to interview three applicants for interim superintendent at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. A motion last week by school board member David Wilson last week to keep current interim Superintendent Darrell Williams in the position failed due to a lack of second.

As far as the openings that remain on the board, Charles says interested residents have until July 26th to apply. The Board plans to interview all of the applicants on July 28th.

So far eight people have applied to fill thee three seats left vacant when Laurie Endres, Kris Klubucar, and Shelly Cronin all resigned on the same day.
