Police say a patron left his keys in the car while headed into J & R Express Mart on Midland Road Thursday night around 10:00 o’clock. It appears the thief hopped in and took off. A patrol officer soon spotted the vehicle and tried to pull it over. The driver crashed into a residential fence near Ruger Park and took off on foot. Police brought in a drone and K9 without luck. The thief may have come from Indiana, because police say they also recovered a stolen vehicle from that state Thursday night.
