A small airplane that took off from Beloit crashes in an Illinois cornfield.
Reports of the crash came into the Rock County Sheriff’s Office just before 8:30 Sunday morning. The plane took off from Beloit Airport on Highway 67.
Shortly after taking off, the plane crashed in Winnebago County, Illinois.
It’s unclear how many passengers were aboard the plane and if anyone was hurt.
Officers from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Beloit Police Department responded to the scene. Fire departments from Beloit and the town of Turtle also responded.
