A 49-year-old Beloit man, who police say crashed an SUV into Janesville’s Lower Courthouse Pak pavilion last fall, is sentenced to jail. Rock County Judge Michael Haakenson sentenced Everett K. Tipler to nine-months in jail with work-release privileges on a charge of Fleeing an Officer. The criminal complaint says Tipler fled form police who tried to make a traffic stop on the near east side in the early morning hours of November 22nd. The complaint says during the chase, the SUV entered Lower Courthouse Park from the intersection of Parker Drive and Court Street, continued through the park, flew over the amphitheater seats and crash upside down near the concrete stage.
