The Rock County Sheriff’s Office has issued a slow, no-wake order for boaters on the Rock River from Indianford Dam to the Beloit-Rock Townline Road Bridge. County ordinances place speed restrictions on the river when water levels exceed 6.5 feet near Afton. The river level at the Afton guage Tuesday morning was about a foot above that. Deputies will post slow no-wake signs at public points along the river.
