The City of Beloit tries to make good use of an 15 acre parcel of land in the Gateway Business Park.
Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Andrew Janke says there’s currently a shortage of rental units in the City.
Janke says a request for proposals was sent out to a number of developers.
The GBEDC’s Business Committee received one proposal from developer Scott Ward of Forward Construction Group for an $18 million development consisting of duplexes and townhouses.
Janke says he’s in the process of evaluating the proposal.
