The 62-year-old retired Beloit police officer accused of of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl makes an appearance in Rock County Court.
At his arraignment Wednesday afternoon Larry Woods stood mute to a charge of repeated sexual assault of a child and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.
Woods is also charged with two counts of transporting a minor across state lines with the intent that the minor engage in sexual activity in federal court.
Woods’ trial in federal court is scheduled scheduled for February 4th. If convicted he faces a maximum of life in prison.
