Rock County Sheriff prepares for flood potential

With more rain on the way, Rock County Sheriff’s Commander Troy Knudson is advising residents in low lying areas to be prepared. That’s why sand and sandbags have been made available at the usual sites. Knudson says so far, unlike Dane County and central Wisconsin, Rock County appears to have escaped the worst.  The National Weather Service reports the water level on the Rock River at Afton has reached the action stage for flooding, and the gauge at Lake Koshkonong will likely reach that point Wednesday afternoon.
