Beloit police are investigating an early morning incident on the east side involving gun play. Police say two people were talking inside a car parked in the 900 block of Gerald Avenue about 2:30 Wednesday morning, when another car pulled up, a man got out, and tried to open their door. Officers say the victims tried to drive away as the assailant fired several shots at the car with a hand gun. The car was struck, but no one was hurt. Police say the suspect vehicle is a silver Chevrolet Impala.
