Janesville Police Explorers host clay pigeon shooting fundraiser

The Janesville Police Explorer Post 500 will be hosting their 3rd Annual Clay Pigeon Shooting Fundraiser on Saturday, September 22 to raise money for the explorer program.  The event starts at 11:00 a.m. at Gehrig’s Farm, 5110 Connor Road in Janesville.
The Janesville Police Explorer Program is an organization of young adults ages 15-21 who work to understand the aspects of policing while also being able to help give back to their community.  Members of Post 500 use knowledge and experience gained from the program to start a career in law enforcement.  The Explorers are led by dedicated officers of the Janesville Police Department.
This year’s fundraiser will include a clay pigeon contest, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and refreshments.
If you are interested in participating in the shooting contest, teams are made up of 5 people.  Registration is $50/person ($250/team).  Trophies will be awarded for Best Shooter, Best Team, and Best LE Team.
Teams must be registered by September 15.  To reserve a team spot or if you have questions about the fundraiser, please contact Caleb Zanoni at (608) 295-9815.
