The Downtown Beloit Association brings back Oktoberfest for the fifth year in a row this Friday.
The event will from 5:30 until 11:00 p.m. on the 300 block of State Street.
Executive Director Shauna el-Amin while the bands don’t start playing until 5:30 on Friday night, the fun will be happening all day long. Sidewalks sales t local business begin at 8:00 a.m. and Fridays in the Park will run from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with food provided by Zen Sushi and music by the Zweifel Brothers.
El-Amin says the event includes an Oktoberfest-themed costume contest for best couple, cutest kid, and individuals.
