School District officials and Janesville Police investigate a threat written on a wall at Marshall Middle School.
According to an email sent to parents from Principal Synthia Taylor, the threat was found late Tuesday evening by custodial staff.
Janesville Police determined that the threat was not credible, however additional officers were assigned to the school Wednesday morning as a precaution.
Taylor says, “Be assured that if there is ever a serious and credible safety threat to students at Marshall, our response would be much more direct and active, involving more than an increased presence of law enforcement on campus.”
