A local community is looking for a new police chief. Edgerton City Administrator Ramona Flanagan says after 28-years in law enforcement, Chief Tom Kolubertanz is retiring. Klubertanz says he’s been considering retirement for about a year and thinks now is the right time. The police commission is expected to begin its search immediately and plans to include public input. The police commission has named Lieutenant Randy Meehan to act as interim chief during the selection process. Klubertanz has been chief since 2004, his last day is October 5.
