Pet owners are being reminded to vaccinate their pets as part of World Rabies Day. Rock County Environmental Health Director Matt Wesson says vaccinations have made a real difference in reducing exposure to this deadly disease. Wesson also suggests enjoying wildlife from a distance, covering garbage cans and not leaving pet food outside, and keeping bats from entering the home. He says typically at least one animal tests positive for rabies in Rock County every year.
