A couple dozen postal carriers from Janesville, Edgeron, and Beloit don’t want to see the U.S. Postal Service privatized. The group carried placards exclaiming how the US Mail is Not for Sale Monday as they picketed outside House Speaker Paul Ryan’s downtown Janesville office. National Association of Letter Carriers First Congressional District Liaison Michael Meskan says postal carriers are supporting a bi-partisan resolution in Congress to prevent a White House proposal to privatize their jobs. Meskan says if the service is privatized, it could threaten the universality and pricing of mail delivery.
