Manufacturing job fair planned

A manufacturing job fair planned for Beloit Wednesday may reflect the difficulty some employers are having in finding qualified workers.  Department of Workforce Development Job Services District Director Dave Shaw says the average pay for manufacturing workers in Wisconsin is $55 thousand a year, or more than 20% higher than the private sector.  Shaw adds the number of manufacturing jobs have grown by more than 20% in less than a decade.   The job fair is planned from 2:00 until 4:00 at the Eclipse Center.  He expects close to 20 employers with more than 200 job openings to attend.
