Beloit officials are releasing updates on two convicted sex offenders already released into the community. Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Millard says the notification follows a change in policy from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.  Now offenders only need be convicted of multiple counts in the same case rather than multiple cases to trigger the release. The latest notifications include 32-year-old John C. Johnson who was released earlier this month to live at 1216 Portland Avenue, and 37-year-old Jeremy J. Simons who was released in February to live at 1850 Madison Road in Beloit . Officials say both men’s targeted victims were juvenile males and females. Both will also be on lifetime GPS monitoring.
