The city of Janesville is getting a little more financial help with the Monterey Area River Restoration project.  A lot of work is planned up and down the Rock River from the former Monterey Dam.  The city was awarded $400 thousand towards the effort earlier this year.  Now city officials say the Department of Natural Resources will be offering another $150 thousand in the form of a Stewardship Program grant.  The city also expects to hear by the end of the year if it’ll receive a Municipal Flood Control Grant.
