Red Cross seeks blood donors

The American Red Cross is urging donors to turn out for a blood drive in Beloit Tuesday afternoon.  Red Cross Officials say they’re facing a sever blood shortage.  During September and October, the Red Cross collected more than 21-thousand fewer blood and platelet donations than what hospitals needed.  Officials point to fewer blood drives this fall, and hurricanes Michael and Florence preventing blood drives in those regions.  A blood drive is planned this afternoon from 1:00 until 6:00 at the People’s Church on Grand Avenue in Beloit.  The next area blood drive will be Friday in Milton at Saint Mary’s Center on Parkview.  You can learn more at RedCrossBlood. org
