The Beloit School Board is concerned about the behavior of students at their schools.
Board member Jeff Klett says the issue has picked up in recent months.
Executive Director of Pupil Services Emily Pelz told the school board Tuesday the elementary schools added behavioral specialists. She said it’s too early for any impact to be measured, but principals are happy with the early stages of the program.
These behavioral specialists coach teachers and work one-on-one with students students to build emotional skills.
