Governor-elect Tony Evers announces his first four cabinet level picks, and a well-known Beloiter is not one of them.
In a press conference Wednesday morning Evers announced his Department of Administration secretary will be Joel Brennan; Preston Cole was selected to lead the Department of Natural Resources; U.S. Marshall Kevin Carr was tapped for secretary of the state Department of Corrections; and Sara Meaney was chosen as Tourism Secretary, replacing Stephanie Klett.
Klett is a Beloit native and former Miss Wisconsin who was also the long-time host of Discover Wisconsin before being chosen by Republican Governor Scott Walker to lead the Department of Tourism in 2011.
