The School District of Beloit is making progress on its diversity efforts.
Human Resources Director Tracey Caradine presented the 2018-19 Affirmative Action Report at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.
Her data found that the number of white students in the district decreased over the last seven years while minority populations have stayed more steady.
Caradine also noted the district’s minority staff population increased from 15 to 24 percent over the last five years.
She said the district has made the most progress with administrators, improving from 5.7 to 48.7 percent minorities over the last three years.
