Janesville police say a reported retail theft at Walmart led to a pursuit, and the suspect is still at large following a foot chase.
Officers were dispatched sometime around 2:40 Thursday afternoon and located the suspect vehicle.
Police attempted a traffic stop on the 4100 block of Tanglewood Dr., and the suspect drove away before eventually abandoning their vehicle and taking off on foot.
The suspect escaped pursuit, and police are still investigating surveillance footage of the incident.
